Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Split the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise and spread softened butter on each half. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add diced onion and sauté until soft, then stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Mix in ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  6. Spread the Sloppy Joe mixture over the garlic bread halves and top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before slicing.
