Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of this easy Chicken Marsala recipe, bringing restaurant-style comfort right to your kitchen. This delightful dish features tender pan-fried chicken breasts smothered in a creamy marsala wine sauce, complemented by sautéed mushrooms for an irresistible combination.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 lbs chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz brown button mushrooms
  • 3/4 cup dry marsala wine
  • 3/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half to create cutlets, then pound to 1/3" thickness. Season with salt and pepper, dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté chicken until golden brown and cooked through (3-4 minutes per side). Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same pan, add mushrooms and sauté until golden (about 5 minutes). Stir in onion powder and garlic; cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in marsala wine, scraping the bottom of the pan, and reduce for about 4-5 minutes. Add chicken stock and cream; simmer until thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over it, and heat for an additional 2 minutes before serving.
