- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 teaspoons garam masala (for the sauce)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Marinate for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
- Heat a nonstick pan over high heat and sear marinated chicken until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
- In the same pan, combine tomato sauce, heavy cream, minced garlic, garam masala (for the sauce), paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add seared chicken to the sauce and let it cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
