  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala (for the sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Marinate for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan over high heat and sear marinated chicken until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, combine tomato sauce, heavy cream, minced garlic, garam masala (for the sauce), paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add seared chicken to the sauce and let it cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
