  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for streusel topping)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for streusel topping)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for streusel topping)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons heavy cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a muffin pan with liners.
  2. In one bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in cubed butter until crumbly; set aside some for topping.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, vegetable oil, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
  4. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed. Fill muffin liners two-thirds full and top with reserved streusel.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; allow to cool before serving.
