  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the ground beef for about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the casserole dish and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour half over the potatoes.
  5. Add cooked beef and chopped onion on top before layering remaining potatoes and pouring on the rest of the soup mixture.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
