  • ¼ Korean pear
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ inch ginger
  • Optional: 1 tbsp gochujang for spice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, grate the Korean pear, ginger, and garlic. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, and avocado oil. Mix until sugar dissolves.
  2. Place chicken thighs in the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to overnight).
  3. Cook using your preferred method: air fryer at 400°F for 10-12 minutes; grill over medium-high heat for about 6-7 minutes per side; or skillet over medium heat for approximately 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
