  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 20 g honey
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter
  • 8 g salt
  • 50 g fine semolina
  • 450 g steak (cut into pieces)
  • 25 g butter (for filling)
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • cayenne powder
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • 80 g red onion (sliced)
  • 75 g red bell pepper (sliced)
  • grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk with yeast and honey. Stir well.
  2. Gradually add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; knead until the dough is smooth and elastic (10–12 minutes).
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about one hour).
  4. Deflate the dough and divide it into 16 equal pieces; shape into balls and flatten slightly.
  5. Coat in semolina and place on a lined baking sheet; allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Bake in a preheated skillet until golden brown.
  7. For the filling, cook steak pieces seasoned with spices in butter and olive oil until browned; add sliced veggies for two more minutes.
  8. Assemble by topping the filling with grated cheese until melted.
