  • 2 large sweet onions (Vidalia)

  • 1 baguette
  • 6 slices Gruyere cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into ¼-inch thick pieces.

  4. Add flour when onions are nearly done; cook for an additional two minutes.
  5. Pour in both broths, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves; simmer for 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baguette slices topped with olive oil.
  7. Bake baguette slices before topping them with cheese and broiling until bubbly.
