Description

Ground Beef Mongolian Noodles deliver a delightful fusion of sweet and savory flavors, making them the perfect weeknight meal. This dish features tender ground beef cooked in a rich sauce infused with garlic, ginger, and hoisin, all tossed with linguine or fettuccine noodles.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles
  • 4 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 minutes. Add grated ginger and minced garlic during the last 2 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the noodles in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Remove excess fat from the skillet and stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Whisk cornstarch with water to create a slurry; add to the skillet and simmer until thickened (2-3 minutes).
  5. Toss cooked noodles into the skillet until well coated in the sauce; let sit for an additional 2-3 minutes before serving.
