  • 16 ounces rotini pasta
  • 34 drops each red & blue liquid food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons water, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 pint (about 10 ounces) of cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (or mozzarella pearls)
  • ¾ cup pepperoni, cut into fourths
  • ½ cup black olives, chopped
  • 1 (16-ounce) bottle of Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In two Ziploc bags, add food coloring (red and blue) mixed with water; divide the cooked pasta into three portions and color each portion accordingly.
  3. Combine all colored pasta in a large mixing bowl with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, pepperoni, olives, and Italian dressing.
  4. Stir well, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
