  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cans (14 oz) sauerkraut (drained)
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz) tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onions. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread drained sauerkraut in the bottom of the baking dish and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  4. Layer cooked egg noodles over the sauerkraut followed by the beef mixture.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together tomato soup and water; pour over layers.
  6. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
