  • ¾ cup sugar

  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¾ cup cake flour
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1215 strawberries (about 1 cup pureed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a food processor, puree trimmed strawberries until chunky.
  3. In a bowl, blend butter, sugar, and egg with an electric mixer until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla extract, buttermilk, and strawberry puree; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  6. Transfer batter into a piping bag and fill greased donut molds halfway.
  7. Bake for 7-8 minutes until springy to touch.
  8. Cool slightly before glazing with powdered sugar mixed with milk.
