  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream the butter and both sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture; blend on low speed without overmixing.
  6. Chill the batter in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Scoop dollops of batter onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown; rotate halfway through baking.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely before serving.
