- 4 medium tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 2–3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup raw cashews
- 2–3 garlic cloves (finely minced)
- 1/2" ginger (finely minced)
- 3/4 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
- 2–3 garlic whole cloves
- 1/2" ginger peeled (and cut into 2–3 pieces)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp oil (divided)
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Gather and prepare all ingredients including mincing garlic and ginger.
- Blend tomatoes, onion, garlic cloves, ginger pieces, and cashews until smooth.
- Heat oil in a pan; sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add spices and cook briefly.
- Pour in the blended sauce; season with salt and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add cooked chickpeas; let simmer for another 10 minutes to meld flavors.
