Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • Cream cheese for frosting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture; gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; brush with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, then scatter blueberries on top.
  5. Roll tightly from one long edge and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and spread over warm rolls.
